Interior page Header Images

Your site comes with one interior header image set-up to display on all of the interior site pages. Below you will find instructions on how to replace this existing image, as well as to create new images that can be placed on particular pages only, if desired.

Note: Only Content Administrators will be able to administer block settings.


Replace existing header image

To replace the existing header image located at the top of every basic page, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over the top right corner of the header image and click on the grey gear.Replace existing header image Step 1 & 2 image
  2. Click Edit
  3. Make sure the image you want to upload has the correct dimensions (1220 px wide by 212 px high) before you upload it. Click on the existing image and delete it.
  4. Upload your new image by clicking on the 'Add Media' icon.Add media icon image
  5. Browse for the new file on your computer.
  6. Click on the 'Upload' button.

  7. Once uploaded, click on the 'Next' button.
  8. Add an 'Alt' and 'Title' tag for your image. Name, Alt Text, and Title Text Image
  9. Click on 'Save'.
  10. Under the dropdown menu 'Display as' under the options area select 'default'. Display Options Image
  11. Click on the 'Submit' button.

Create new header image

Step 1:

  1. Go to the 'Add Content' shortcut link in the grey menu at the top of the screen.Add content image
  2. Select 'Block'.

  3. Fill in the following fields:
    • Title: Example 'About Us Static Header Image'
    • Body: Make sure the image you want to upload has the correct dimensions (1220 px wide by 212 px high).
      - Upload your new image by clicking on the 'Add Media' icon.

      - Browse for the new file on your computer.
      - Click on the 'Upload' button.

      - Once uploaded, click on the 'Next' button.
      - Add an 'Alt' and 'Title' tag for your image.

      - Click on 'Save'.

      - Under the dropdown menu 'Display as' under the options area select 'default'.

  4. Click on the 'Save' button when finished.

Step 2:
Now you will need to assign this newly created block to the page you would like it to display on.

  1. In the shortcut menu click on 'Blocks'.

  2. Scroll down to the 'Disabled' section and locate the newly created block. 
  3. Click on the 'configure' link to the right of the block's title.Configure Block image
  4. Fill in the following fields:
    • Block title: <none>

    • Region settings: Under 'UA Theme - The Fan (default theme)' select 'Homepage Slideshow'.

    • Visibility Settings: Show block on specific pages
      • Select 'Only the listed pages'
      • In the text box type the pages' url paths that you would like the image to display on. For example "about-us" would display the image on the About Us page. You can enter multiple paths, just hit return and type the next page's url path.

  5. Save block. The newly created image should appear on the desired pages now.

Tip: Be sure to hide other interior page images from this page so that only one image will appear at the top.
Steps to take to accomplish this task below. Complete these steps on the interior page image that you would like to hide from this page.

  1. Hover over the top right corner of the header image and click on the grey gear.
  2. Click Configure Block

  3. Scroll down to the 'Show block on specific pages' section.
  4. In that field, hit return after any existing listed urls (so that there is one url per line), add new url that you would like to hide this image on (example: 'about-us').
